Lighting contributes a significant part in total electricity
consumption of the world. According to a recent data
collected by Philips, an average of 19 % of electricity is
consumed by lighting in whole world [1]. The main reason
behind this huge consumption is inefficiency of the many
artificial lighting sources available today. The high power
Light Emitting Diode (LED) offers solutions to the key
issues and problems that are caused by artificial lighting
source such as high electricity bills, resource scarcity and
energy crisis [2]. LED is one of the most efficient and
competitive lighting sources to replace the conventional
lamp and gradually becomes a commonly used lighting
source in many lighting applications. The main reasons
behind the popularity of high power LED is its high
efficiency, superior longevity, directionality and light
intensity control [3].
