In the present context of a global and financial crisis, rural tour- ism houses and businesses are still experiencing the trend of better economic times, unlike what happened to mass tourism that fell sharply. In general terms, guest-nights in hotels fell by 1.2% in 2008 in Spain, compared to the previous year [20].
