In the vision, law offers no constraint or limit to guide our thinking about what we can do in the world – according to this realist account we can do whatever we have the military and economic power t3o do in situations where this will further our international interest. To the extent that law ceases to provide an expression of our international interest, we will withdraw from it , just as Australia withdraw from the jurisdiction tribunals in the context of the Timor Gap negotiations discussed above.
