3.2. Light intensity
A completely randomized design was used, including three
treatments and ten replications where the plants were exposed
to 100%, 50% or 25% of total sunlight. Cassumunar ginger was fully
exposed to sunlight in an open space for 4 months and then subjected
to the above three light intensities. For the 50% and 25% light
conditions, the plants were grown under 50% and 75% black plastic
shading material (Saran), respectively. Light intensity was measured
with a digital illumination meter (Hioki 3234 Lux HiTester),
and the hourly data (from 06:00 to 18:00) were collected at 7-day
intervals (Figs. 1 and 2).
