Advisors and policy
makers who ignore such differences and base their
decisions mainly on data from developed countries risk
promoting costly and relatively ineffectual policies for
prevention of traffic injuries (Barss et al., 1998).
Therefore, our analysis is essential for better understanding
of the road safety issue, hence better
prevention, and providing detailed and reliable data
for road safety policy making, as well as for future
road safety analyses and researches in Iran.
