Playing the killer isn't as easy as you would think, you may not have the pressure of trying to survive and avoid being caught, but there's a lot of decisions to make throughout the game when you're playing. When you find a survivor you need to be quick to chase them down, survivors take 2 hits to put into downed state which then lets you carry them and throw them onto a hook, the survivors can mash the "A" and "D" buttons to make walking forward a little harder for you, but most importantly if you take too long getting them onto a hook then they will escape your shoulder, which means you need to chase them down again and hit them once again.
You need to pay attention to birds that may get set off (something similar to evolve, but less obvious as it doesn't show up glowing and through all the walls) in the distance, though mainly your big give-away is if a survivor fails a "skill check" on a generator, when they are fixing a generator and fail to press the spacebar at the correct point on the circle, that's when you will see the generator they failed at, regardless of where you are.
The big decisions come into when you have hung a survivor, taking the risk on going for a close by survivor that you have spotted or standing on guard, survivors can unhook them off very quickly which means setting bear traps will help a lot in potentially preventing it (though a survivor can dis-arm it if they want to take the risk when you're close by), you can't just take the option all the time to guard the survivor because there's a good chance that they could just be fixing the generators while you waste time guarding the survivor you hung, all of this adds to the excitement of the game and makes each match fun to play .
