The concentrations of As, Cu, Fe, and Pb determined
in white sugar using dry ashing with H2SO4 are given
in Table 3.
Recovery studies were carried out by adding a known
amount of the analyte prior to dry ashing. The average
recoveries, calculated by taking the concentrations in
Table 3 as the endogenous analyte concentrations in the
absence of the spike, are shown in Table 4.
