For this brief study, we chose to
focus on films from The Walt Disney Company. With a recent
top-grossing and award-winning film (Frozen) and with a history
of film production dating back to the 1930s, this company has
been a major contributor to children’s media and presumably a
source of social education —whether intentional or not—for
both the general public as well as present and future physicians.
Of interest, the medical literature describes the use of Disney film
elements—such as Dopey in Snow White and Bruno the dog in
Cinderella—as potential teaching aids in neurology
