Folders are devices that function like an extra pair of hands to help an employee fold laundry manually or automatically by using blasts of air for the primary folds.
Some have infrared photo sensors that measure the linen as it is fed into the machine; a microprocessor then makes the calculations that determine the fold points and trigger the air blasts.
Grading devices signal employees when soiled or torn linens go through the machine.
Some have attachments that stack folded linens on a conveyor belt; the belt moves the stacks to the next laundry station.
