Justification of case study area
The town of Victoria Falls lies on the
southern bank of the Zambezi River, at the
western end of the falls in the province of
Matabeleland North in Zimbabwe (ZTA,
2009) (See Figure 1). The town is named
after the famous falls which has been
acknowledged globally as the largest
curtain of falling water in the world, hence
one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
The town is home to superb wildlife
safaris, a rich culture, and friendly citizens
(Rogerson & Visser, 2011), which makes it
a haven for tourists.
