Type 2 diabetes is the most commonly known type of diabetes, affecting around 2.6 million people in the UK alone. A person with type 2 diabetes has what is called insulin resistance, meaning their pancreas doesn’t produce enough insulin or the body doesn’t react properly to insulin.

With the rise of fast food, convenience food and lack of rock solid education to encourage overweight people to lose their excess (and very dangerous) weight. This means that more and more folks are being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
