3.4. Blood pressure
Diastolic pressure among males increased during the games from the pre-Olympic level by 4.04 mmHg (95% CI: 1.90, 6.18). The increased diastolic pressure maintained after the games (mean value: 86.21mmHg). The pulse pressure decreased among males during the games from the pre-Olympic level by 2.35 mmHg (95% CI: 4.58, 0.12) and remained at the similar level after the games. Overall, the study did not observe any clear pattern of blood pressure in response to the air pollution levels.
