EMG is electrical signal recorded by electrodes over muscles,
which can be used to estimate the electrical activity of muscles.
In 1666, Francesco Redi, preformed the first experiment to
record EMG signals.
In 1792, Luigi Galvani found that electricity
could initiate muscle contractions.
The first experiment to record
electric flux during muscle contraction was carried out in 1890.
Moreover, in 1922, Gasser and Erlanger used an oscilloscope
to show the electric signals that emanated from muscles.
