Variation was observed in
head rice content among pigmented varieties, w 41e64 g/100 g.
Head rice recovery was least in Jyothi, 41 g/100 g and highest in
Aishwarya w 64 g/100 g, indicating the higher susceptibility of the
grain for breakage in Jyothi w37 g/100 g and least in Aishwarya
w13 g/100 g among the pigmented varieties. Brokens in other two
pigmented varieties werew20 andw25 g/100 g respectively.
