The RTPI-TPS Transport Planning Network (TPN) is a member-driven forum for transport planners and those with an interest in transport issues. It is run jointly between the RTPI and the Transport Planning Society.

Network Elections
The Transport Planning Network is currently seeking a new Chair and Vice Chair to serve for the next two years. The Chairs are expected to champion and help promote awareness of the network alongside an RTPI Network Manager who performs most of the day-to-day administrative tasks.
The role of Chair is open to RTPI members, and the role of Vice Chair is open to TPS members.
Role Description:
In close liaison with the RTPI Network Manager, the Chair and Vice Chair will:
Championing and helping to promote awareness of the Network
Providing intelligence on issues and topics of relevance to the Network
Contributing to the Transport Planning Network Bulletin, and other RTPI publications such as the blog and The Planner magazine as invited
Identification of subjects for discussion at events working in collaboration with the TPS, RTPI regions and other partners
Accepting speaking engagements on Network topics where the organising body is reimbursing expenses
Whenever convenient, supporting Network events and engaging with members
As may be required, reporting to the RTPI Policy, Practice and Research Committee on Network achievements.
How to apply
Those interested in serving should submit no more than 250 words on what they would contribute as Chair or Vice Chair by Monday 25 January to transport@rtpi.org.uk. Submissions will be considered by the RTPI Board's Nomination Sub Committee to make a selection and confirm those interested fulfil the role description.
