Germination rate of A. alternata conidia was also affected by exposure to wild C. annuum extracts in accordance with their concentration (Fig. 1B).
Extracts at 25 mg mL 1 induced an inhibition of conidia germination that ranged between 40 and 53% ofthe untreated control.
The EteOH and Et-OAc extracts showed the highest inhibitory effects; however, the detrimental effects observed here did not show significant differences with respect to the remaining extracts for each concentration used.
