3.2. Compressibility of powders
3.2.1. Compaction model
The Kawakita and Ludde equation (Eqs. (5) and (6)) was used to
study the compressibility behavior of fruit powders. This equation
holds best for soft fluffy pharmaceutical powders and is used to describe
the early phase of particle rearrangement and compaction for low compaction pressure. From P/C versus P graphs, the constants ‘a’ and ‘b’ were
calculated from the linear fitting of the equation (Table 3).
