Biodegradable and star-shaped polymers with highly tunable structure and properties have
attracted muchattention inrecentyears for potential biomedicalapplications,duetotheir
special structure.Here,inositol-basedstar-shapedpoly-L-lactide-poly(ethyleneglycol)
(INO-PLLA-PEG)biomedicalpolymerimplantswereforthe first timesynthesizedbya
facile photo-crosslinkingmethod.Thisbiomaterialsshowcontrolledelastomericmechan-
ical properties(18 MPaintensilestrength, 200 MPainmodulus, 200% inelongation),
biodegradabilityandosteoblastsbiocompatibility.TheseresultsmakeINO-PLLA-PEG
implants highlypromisingforbonetissueregenerationanddrugdeliveryapplications
