Computer anxiety can be defined as the apprehension or fear that
results when an individual is faced with the possibility of using an IS
[57]. Those who are less anxious are much more likely to interact
with the system than those who are more anxious[58]. Because computer anxiety stems mainly from the lack of prior experience in using
an IS or the lack of self-confidence in effectively managing or controlling it, anxiety about using a particular technology would affect the
adoption of that technology[59]. Past research has shown that computer anxiety is negatively related to perceived usefulness (see, for
example,[60–62]) and perceived ease of use (see, for example,[50,
63]). In the context of WBT systems in the construction industry,
we can therefore postulate a negative relationship between computer
anxiety both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Thus, we
added the following hypotheses:
