To reach Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai (A) from Bangkok, I would suggest that you take the skytrain to BTS Bearing. From there it is only a 20 minute taxi ride. You won’t have a problem in finding a taxi to take you back. The Bang Phli Old Riverside Market (C) is a great place to explore and to have a meal. If you have time you can also join a boat tour (B). At the weekend they have two tours. The one I joined was 40 Baht for two hours. There is also a shorter 20 minute one for 20 Baht. On my tour we first went West along Samrong Canal to Wat Bang Phli Yai Klang (D). Here they have the largest Reclining Buddha in Thailand. It is 53 meters long and you can even go inside to see the heart. Back in the boat they took us East this time along the canal. This was great to see life along the canal. Our next stop was Wat Bang Chalong Nai. We were there for 20 minutes before heading south to another temple (F) where we were able to buy bread to feed the fish. Be careful that you don’t get wet.ember 2006 as Thailand's primary airport. The district was part of the once-proposed Nakhon Suvarnabhumi Province.
