No major crack or failure was observed in the concrete segments during any of the experiments. The images from the interior cameras did not reveal any damage in the strands. However, when CFCC tendons were removed from the bridge model at the conclusion of the experiments, both the cables and the neoprene pads used at the deviators showed minor friction damage (Fig. 5). Although no stiffness or strength degradation was observed throughout the experiments, the observed damage implied that CFCC tendons may require a more rigid jacket to protect them from abrasion.
