4. CONCLUSION
The present study aimed to provide the most
suitable technology to overcome Zn deficiency
problem in rice, by comparing the effects of
different methods of Zn application on rice
growth, yield and nutrients concentration. Zinc
application by any of the methods increased
significantly the rice growth parameters, straw
and grain yield over control. Highest of soil Zn
concentration was found in plots with soil Zn
application as compared to foliar or root soaking
application. Zinc content in soil after harvest was
also significantly affected by methods of Zn
application. The highest soil Zn concentration
was found in soil Zn application treatment as
compared with root soaking. The study
suggested that, soil application of Zn resulted in
better results and easier as compared to foliar
and root soaking treatment. The obtained results
of this study would be beneficial to mitigate Zn
deficiency in rice and therefore, improve zinc use
efficiency
