We can observe differences by observing Miller Index. All lattice planes and lattice directionsare described by a mathematical description known as a Miller Index. This allows thespecification, investigation, and discussion of specific planes and directions of a crystal. In thecubic lattice system, the direction [hkl] defines a vector direction normal to surface of aparticular plane or facet. Miller Indices of crystalline orientations are different from each othertoo. The Miller Indices h,k,l are defined as follows:
