In an effort to streamline Service support workflows, Apple is reviewing the Known Bad Board (KBB) clock for your account. The KBB clock reflects the expected receipt date of any defective parts associated with an open repair. Effective 22 June 2015, Apple will be adjusting the KBB clock for your account to align with the country standard: 15 business days of when a good part (KGB) is shipped by Apple.
Currently, your account allows for return within 45 business days after creating a repair before being billed for the seed stock replacement provided by Apple.
By modifying your account to country standards, Apple hopes to diminish the number of open repairs you need to track with defective devices pending return. It will be critical for your Service location to have supporting processes in place that ensure KBBs are returned within 10 business days to avoid KBB non-return billing.
