z Reverse Action / RA is set as a default.
z Depending on valve operation, Reverse Action (RA) or Direct Action (DA) can be set by
plugging into appropriate socket.
z Per field’s requirement, input and output signal can be reversed.
Zero and Span Adjustment
In this manual, the explanation is based on assumption where input signal to positioner and
output signal from position transmitter are in same direction. Please check when input signal
is at 4mA, either valve stroke or rotation angle is at 0%, and at 20mA, either valve stroke or
rotation angle should be at 100%. When this is not true, please adjust zero and span values.
1. Fix actuator’s rotation angle to 0% and check output signal is 4mA.
2. If output signal is greater than 4mA, then turn zero adjuster bolt in counter-clockwise.
If output signal is less than 4mA, then turn zero adjuster bolt in clockwise until the
output signal reaches at 4mA.
3. After adjusting zero value, fix actuator’s rotation angle to 100% and check if the output
signal is 20mA.
4. If output signal is greater than 20mA, then turn span adjuster bolt in counter-clockwise.
If output signal is less than 20mA, then turn span adjuster bolt in clockwise until the
output signal reaches at 20mA.
5. Adjusting zero or span values affect other component. Please repeat the step 2 and 4
as necessary.
