If we consider the changes of CMC of the TX-100 and CTAB mixture as a function of the TX-100 mole fraction in this mixture(Fig. 7), it appears that synergism in CMC occurs. Independently ofthe ethanol concentration, if ˛ equals 0.6 and 0.8, the values of CMCof the mixture are lower than those of single TX-100 and CTAB.
Of course, there are some differences in the CMC values for agiven composition of the TX-100 and CTAB mixture determined by various methods. However, its known that different methods used for the CMC detection often lead to different numerical estimations(Figs. 5 and 6), not only because of the measurement errors but also because the CMC is rather the range than a pinpoint value [37].
