The general research objective of this study is to identify which factors are associated with ‘Institutionalised ICT use’, or ICT that has been
fully implemented towards teaching and learning. This study investigates how several general and ICT related school and teacher factors are
associated with the use of ICT in Flemish (Belgium) primary education. These are the independent variables of the study, and are selected
from the e-capacity framework (see Fig. 1) of Vanderlinde, van Braak, and Tondeur (2010). Preceding this objective, a valid and reliable
instrument that measures the ‘institutionalised’ ICT use of teachers has been composed. This developed scale will serve as the dependent
variable of the study.
