Many justifications can be given regarding the use of
gradual, progressive upper-limb exercise training along
with deep breathing in the rehabilitation of lymphedema
[19]. Gradually increasing the physiological stress to the
affected upper limb through flexibility, resistance, and
aerobic exercises will be better than inactivity in postmastectomy
patients. Possible mechanisms by which affected
upper-limb exercise improves or helps prevent lymphedema
symptoms include that such exercise not only
