An inconvenient question: will climate change mean worse storms for NSW?
Probably the last thing politicians and disaster-hit communities want to think about as they clean up following this week's super storm is whether climate change will make such tempests more frequent and more intense.
But it's a question likely to be asked by climate scientists not least because east coast lows remain tricky systems to pin down – including by meteorologists trying to plot how rapidly they will form and which areas will be hit hardest.
