This research studied the effect separation of palm kernels and shells. The studied had 2 processes. 1.by cyclone 2. Shaker machine. The upper cyclone tank made of steel with size of diameter of 50 cm, height of 100 cm and thickness of 4 mm. The below cyclone tank had a cone the size of the top diameter of 50 cm and bottom diameter 20 cm, height 100 cm and a thickness of 4 mm. For outlet pipe with a diameter of 20 cm The experiment had used to the length of the core tube 110, and 165 cm by adjusting the wind speed at 27.7, 22.2 and 33.3 m/s. The results of core pipe length 110 cm could not be separated shell out. And the results pipe length 165 cm, and the wind speed of 22.2 m/s. Best performance of separates the seeds from the shell was 0.886 kg. Part 2. Shaker machine made of steel with size of 110x200 cm., Inside shape had triangle at an angle of 60 degrees. The experiment had used to strokes at 140 and 220 cm. by variable speed stroke 83, 91 and 100 rpm. The results of stroke 220 cm and a speed of 69 rpm., which effectively separates the palm kernels and shells was 0.412 kg, which is effective to 87.7 %.
