Secondly, in relation to when the handphones were received by the Accused, the Defence suggested that Lee had kept the stolen property for two or three weeks before handing it over to the Accused after agreeing to sell the phones to the Chinese businessman. I rejected the Defence’s suggestion and accepted Lee’s evidence that he sold the stolen handphones to the Accused a day after he had committed the theft as his evidence on this issue was markedly more consistent and cogent as compared to the Accused’s.
