ERECTION READY FOR GREEN TAG INSPECTION
When ERECTION is complete the scaffold must be inspected to ensure compliance with the Regulations and Codes of Practice. When satisfied, the inspector completes the Green Faced Scafftag insert with the required entries, then dates and adds his signature. The green insert is then placed in the Scafftag holder, indicating the scaffold is now “Safe For Use”. A duplicate insert should be held at a central control point.
If the scaffold is found incomplete or unsafe the inspector stipulates the required remedial work to be carried out and requires the Scafftag holder remain as a Red Tag showing “Do Not Use Scaffold”.
Upon satisfactory completion of remedial works the scaffold inspector completes the green tag as above indicating the scaffold is “Safe to Use”. When necessary, the inspector should enter details about any limitations for scaffold on the tag.
