Chlamydial infection and treatment at baseline
Sixty eight (5.4%) women in the screened group tested
positive for chlamydia at baseline. PO contacted 65 of
the women to ask them to attend their local genitourinary
medicine clinic or general practitioner for treatment
and partner notification. Two women could not
be contacted directly as their mobile telephone number
was not working, they did not provide an email
address, and they had requested no post to the home
address. The college nurses contacted them for us. A
further chlamydia positive sample from the 35 intervention
samples unintentionally put in the freezer
