The history of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina from
1995–2005 is a reflection of three intertwined, interconnected and
interdependent experiences. First, and of paramount impor tance, is the reconstruction
and rehabilitation of post-war Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) – an
ef for t that has been as heavily influenced by the international community
involved in the peace negotiation and implementation as by the BiH leaders,
who in many cases led the country through the war as well as into the peace.
