Dear Sir,
Nirvanafoods is using Thai Black Tea grown and produced in the northern regions of Thailand. We do not use Ceylon Tea – Black Tea grown in Sri Lanka – to make our Thai Tea products. Therefore, to use the name Ceylon tea on the list of ingredients is a violation of Thai regulation on ingredient origins. The use of the name Ceylon Tea will also create legal issues with the Country of Sri Lanka on the use of their region’s product name.
In conclusion we would like to request that we are able to use Thai Black Tea since this is what we are using to produce our Thai Tea products.
Sincerely,
Kris Wattanaporn
Assistant MD
Nirvanafoods.
