This paper aims to explore the influence of strategy implementation on export performance. The main question addressed in this paper relates to how the strategy implementation is linked to the firm’s export performance with respect to diverse dimensions of performance in international activities. Data were gathered from food exporter firms in Iran and partial least squares method was used to
test the proposed conceptual framework. The finding from this study support the conceptual framework; so it was concluded that strategy implementation influences export performance, both directly, and as a mediating variable between organizational characteristics, export commitment and environmental characteristics with export performance. Key words: Strategy Implementation, Export Performance, Developing Countries. The growing internationalization of markets and increased participation of organizations in the global arena has resulted in export performance attracting considerable interest in many researches (Leonidou, 2003; Matanda & Freeman, 2009).
