Eastern Sarus Crane was classified in the family of Gruidae, species of Grus antigone and sub-species of Grus antigone sharpii. They distributed in South-East Asia that including of Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Malaysia. Current population of Eastern Sarus Crane extincted from the nature of Thailand more than 3 decades since 1968 and were classified to the 1 of 15 species in the Wildlife Preservation and Protection Act, 1992. So, Zoological Park Organization in Thailand (ZPO) which successes in the captive breed of Eastern Sarus Crane, they had released 25 cranes to the natural wetland in Huay-Jorakaemak reservoir non-hunting area (HJM) and Sanambin reservoir non-hunting area (SNB) of Burirum province since 2011.
