All sampled individuals were invited to participate in the survey(appendix)and physical examination.a close-ended questionnaire was administered face-to-face by trained public health staff.we collected information on individual sociodemographics,self-reported history of hypertension and diabetes,as well as the lifestyle habits of smoking, alcohol use,physical activity,and diet. We also collected data on their knowledge of the health outcomed of sodium intake and hypertension,perceptions of salf consumption,and attitudes and intentions toward reducingb salt intake.
