The research study conducted on "Marketing of Banana in Naushahro Feroze Area" could well be concluded on the findings that the existing marketing system of this important cash crop is not efficient enough to satisfy all the participating parties. The intermediaries snatch major portion of retail price of banana, leaving on unjustifiable share for the main producer (Orchardist), who spent eighteen months to nurse the plants. The marketing system of fruits in Sindh is not efficient, it mostly favour the traders and middlemen. Farmer always grumbles over the low price they receive for their products. The main feature of fruit marketing is that fruits are entirely traded through unregulated markets. Traders and middlemen are predominant. They govern all marketing activities. They interact in an organized way whereas farmer-sellers and consumer who have no organization and are scattered widely participate in the marketing of fruits quite unorganiz ed.
