Reynolds-Feighan (2013), in the present volume, presents a comprehensive review
of air freight networks around the world. In China, the number of airports and
cities with scheduled flights has been increasing significantly since 2003 (see
Fig. 1.5). Airline industrial infrastructure is also sharply improving. There are
many connections among cities (Table 1.7). A growing number of airports now
handle more than 10,000 tons of cargo annually (Table 1.8).
