1. Explain the difference between general-purpose and specialized applications. Also discuss the common features of application programs, including those with traditional and ribbon graphical user interfaces.
-The general purpose applications include; word processors, spreadsheets, presentation graphics, and database management systems; while the specialized application are programs that focused more on specific disciplines and occupations like, graphics programs, and web authoring programs. The tradition and ribbon are from the same word processor but different programs. The traditional comes from older software, like “Windows XP or Windows 7,” word processor and “Windows 8” or any other newer programs run Microsoft offices suites, like “Word processor 2013; which has the ribbon graphical user’s interfaces.
