While in the middle of receiving a lot of interest from participating in Infinite Challenge, Hyukoh’s member Oh Hyuk’s recent interview has recently become a topic of conversation.
On the 6th in an interview with a fashion magazine (T/N: Vogue July issue?) Oh Hyuk disclosed his experience of auditioning for the big agencies. “I’ve auditioned at SM, JYP and YG. I got past the camera audition at SM. I don’t know how I got through”, he revealed.
Further more, he said that “I repeatedly did stuff like that, and I was always making songs and showing my singing to my parents. I would decisively sing Barry Manilow’s ‘When October Goes’ at performances, and that felt sort of like sealing the deal.“
He also said “In my first year of high school I was told to come to Seoul to join SM. But it was during a school semester, and I didn’t think they were right for my style of music, so I didn’t go” and “I can’t dance at all, and I had never listened to the music by the agencies.”
Meanwhile, as the band Hyukoh has teamed up with Jung Hyungdon on ‘2015 Infinite Challenge Music Festival’, the expectations are being amplified more and more.
