Higher SOC concentration may increase not only the
cohesion between clay and organic C (Zhang et al., 2008), but also
the friction angle between particles due to change in porous
system with wetting and drying cycles (Chenu et al., 2000; Zhang
et al., 2005). With increasing number of drying, the soil cores
changes in total porosity and pore size distribution (Fig. 4c and
Fig. 5).
