In agreement with the recommendation. The reviewer acknowledges that this case was deferred in the previous BID panels to preserve the family unity as much as possible, and let the child to gradually build the relationship with the biological father. However, it was found out that this has not been successful even after three years of attempts. Considering his age and maturity, the forceful separation of the child from his full-time caregivers may bring severe and life-time emotional impacts on him. Although the age of the grandparents and the fact that the child still has 8 years to reach 18 years old may raise some concerns, it should be stressed that the maternal aunt in the US is willing to be the second caregiver, with whom the child also feels comfortable. In order to avoid creating any disruption on his emotional development and for the better future of him, the child should stay with the grandparents and be included in their durable solution.
