The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has had arrest warrants approved to capture two female suspects in a copper pyramid scheme that has caused B30m in damage.
Pol Maj Suriya Singhakamol, director ofthe DSI's Bureau of Special Crime One, said the arrest warrants were for Dara Phasi, 32, and Jampa Phasi, 38, natives of Phu Luang district in Loei province.
He said the DSI had received complaints from 44 people who had been lured into "investing in a company that bought copper from TOT plc and melted it for export".
A gang that included Ms Dara and Ms Jampa had offered a 400% yearly return on their "investment"
The Claimed business never existed and the six-person gang tricked its victims out of about 30 million baht. The illicit business had happened from Feb 16, 2011 to April 1, 2012, Pol Maj Suriya said,
