A series of finely ground and exactly weighed (100 mg)
KBr were taken in small beaker (5 ml capacity). To these, with
the help of micropipette, varied known concentrations of
nitrite in the range 0.025–5 μg/ 20 μL were added. Then all the
standard KBr-matrices were dried in a water bath at a controlled temperature 40 °C for 5 min. After drying, KBrmatrices
were thoroughly mixed. These individually dried
and homogeneously mixed standards were analyzed by the
DRS-FTIR. The optimum conditions set for DRIFT analysis of
the samples are shown in Table 1.
