Soxhlet extraction
The total oil content of the seed was determined by Soxhlet
extraction. The seeds were extracted by n-hexane (solid:solvent
ratio of 1:6.6 (a/a)) for 8 h using a 250 mL capacity Soxhlet appa-
ratus.
The solvent was then evaporated under reduced pressure
