Microprocessors are cost effective in
control ling complex mechanisms and this
paper deals with the development of a
dedicated micro-processor based control
system to monitor and control hybrid
energy systems comprising of combinations
of wind power, diesel power, solar power,
micro-hydro power and batteries, in such a
way that initial capital outlay is reduced
through enhanced performance and as well
as minimising maintenance.
