Copper levels in tissues of control

Copper levels in tissues of control plants were approximately half of the copper levels observed in field plants tissues (results not shown). This decrease demonstrates P. australis adaptation to the experimental conditions, over the two months. To evaluate
copper uptake by plants, copper levels in plants exposed to medium with added copper were compared with coper levels in control plants (vessels without copper addition, but subject to the same experimental conditions).
