Normally I am spared from the worst traffic jams.
The capital is the central spot where all roads lead to, hence any time you have to go in that direction you run the risk of traffic jams. I would say that most of the workplaces are located north-west of the capital, while most people live to the south-west. I am quite fortunate with that I live to the north east of the capital, and work in the north western suburban.
However, there is a lake that blocks me from taking the direct route to work. I have to go around that lake, either on the south side or the north side. The south side is the shortest road, but it is more prone to have traffic jams. The north side is longer, but the traffic tends to at least run smoothly.
Normally I time when I leave so that I avoid the rush hours, and thus also avoid the worst traffic. In 9 times out of 10 the traffic is no problem to me. However, every now and then there is an accident, that ruins my plans. That was what happened yesterday.
Well, time to get some sleep. God natt / god morgon.
